The Orchard program, led by Hutton House, helps people land a 12-week paid placement with employers in the sector. They take part in three weeks of in-class sessions where they upgrade their job skills in order to find long-term employment.

The campaign aims to raise awareness for the London Food Bank and the need for fresh food, especially during the summer months which is typically a slower period for food donations.

5-0 Vote In Favour of Food Hub License
Great news for The Patch! On March 1st The Community and Protective Services Committee voted in favour of the food hub license agreement in a 5-0 vote. This meeting was to approve the proposed Licencing Agreement for the Creation of a Food Hub in Cavendish Park by-law be introduced at the Municipal Council meeting to be held on March 22, 2022.

Nathan's Urban Farm is all about growing food and opportunities. In January 2021, Hutton House established Nathan’s Urban Farm in partnership with the Nathan T. Deslippe Memorial Fund as Phase One of an ongoing initiative to promote food security while providing training opportunities for community members.
