Move to Improve Cavendish Park

For now, it's a fenced-in gravel lot the city uses to store signs, benches and other items.

But come this spring, about one-third of the operations yard located in a not-so-well-known west London park will become a "food hub," a place to grow vegetables while teaching adults about urban gardening. 

It's set to happen at Cavendish Park,  located close to the Thames River west of Wharncliffe Road South and south of Riverside Drive in the Kensington Village neighbourhood

Hutton House, an organization that provides fitness, recreation, leisure services and training for adults with disabilities, has applied for a city licence to allow part of the space to be turned over to planters that will grow everything from kale to tomatoes… Read More
